Race for a good cause supports Hug Cancer

Knus Kræft is an initiative run by the Bertelsen Family, Peter Larsen Kaffe, Tom Kristensen and KidsAid. While other good initiatives focus on research and treatment, Knus Kræft is solely focused on creating good experiences for children with cancer and other serious illnesses.

Tom Kristensen says: Once you have experienced a cancer case up close, you never forget it. Cancer is a terrible disease that unfortunately strikes far too often – and far too often strikes children. Seeing the sparkle in the little eyes that experience so much resistance is worth all our efforts. Claus Bertelsen and I have started the Knus Kræft project in a rewarding collaboration with KidsAid, and it means a lot to me personally. We are a good team that makes a great effort for all the families we help support and help in a very difficult time. The project Hug Cancer helps make a difference for children and their families affected by the disease. Meeting children affected by the disease, feeling the love and support of the families for each other is incredibly moving and affects me deeply.”

Race for a Good Cause is a central part of Classic Race Viborg, where we work purposefully to promote children's road safety. Traffic accidents are unfortunately one of the biggest risks for children in everyday life, and therefore it is our mission to create greater awareness of the importance of safe driving habits - both for children and their parents. Through the event, we want to focus on how we can protect children in traffic by spreading knowledge about safe behaviour, use of safety equipment such as bicycle helmets and harnesses, as well as accident prevention.

With the support of participants and sponsors, the funds from Race for a Good Cause go to initiatives that increase children's safety in traffic.

Tickets for the racing experience of a lifetime can be bought at Classic Race Viborg or at the Festpladsen during the race days. Your participation makes a difference to both children's road safety.

Race for a Good Cause supports the well-being of children and young people through a collaboration with Headspace – a conversation offer that starts from what you need to talk about. In Headspace, it's all about you – your thoughts, your feelings and your needs. Headspace believes that you know best what you need, and their volunteers help you along the way by asking the right questions and helping you find the answers.

Headspace offers free and anonymous advice and follows all interview processes closely to ensure that the young people get the support they need. The conversations can be health-promoting and preventive, and bridges can be built to other offers if there is a need for it.

By participating in Race for a Good Cause, you are helping to ensure that even more young people have the opportunity to talk to someone who understands them. Your support makes a difference in their well-being and future.
